Honda to Unveil Electric Sportbike Concept at Tokyo Motor Show

Honda is set to unveil seven electric-powered concept vehicles at the upcoming 42nd Tokyo Motor Show, including a sportbike that has piqued our interest. According to Honda, the RC-E concept is a version of a sportbike that “pursues the joy of riding.” Honda says the RC-E will offer a powerful and smooth ride unique to an EV model and features a 250cc-class compact body. Mackenzie Tricker Looks To Pad WMX Points Lead At Glen Helen Raceway Sunday

Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.

Michael Dunlop captured his second victory in the 2013 Isle of Man TT, winning the first Supersport race a day after doing the same in the Superbike race. But it was a different Dunlop that led early on the first lap. Older brother William Dunlop on the Milwaukee Yamaha R6 had the fastest time through Glen Helen, between the ninth and tenth milestones of the Isle of Man’s Mountain course.
