Honda CT description

Original 1965 Honda CT200 Early CT90 Model, Beautiful!!!

Here we have for sale a beautiful original 1965 Honda CT200, early ct90 model motorcycle. The CT200 are the early version of the Trail 90's, they are very similar besides the engine, the engine is push rod style engine with a cast iron head, different from the 1967 and later engines. These are totally more nostalgic and vintage looking. These are what collectors are after because they are hard to come by and especially hard to come by in this beautiful of condition. This bike is totally original besides its seat. I replaced that with a exact matching to OEM seat. It is what came on this bike new. The bike is in excellent original condition and the bike just shines when the sun hits it. Just check out all of the pictures. This CT200 was original bought new right here in Reno, NV where I am from. The dealership was called Bill Rudd Motors, the original Bill Rudd decals are still present on the plastic side covers. The bike is literally all original, down to the original Nitto tires, original Honda key, original tool pouch and better yet, the original Honda spark plug! The plug still has the H logo that represents Honda on it. I have collected a lot of the Honda's over the years and I have never seen the original spark plug still in the bike. The original paint on the entire bike is really nice and it shines very well. The bike shows little to no wear on everything, the original paint is not worn or shows any wear, and the side covers on the engine don't show any wear. Pretty crazy to really not see any use on this bike. The plastics are all in great condition on the bike, the headlight buckets are typically always broken on these bikes, but not on this one. The original headlight bucket is very nice! The original plastic side covers are very nice on the bike, the side where the ignition is has a little wear from an additional key rubbing against the cover. The electrical all works, and I put a new battery in the bike. The high and low beam work, the horn works, the brake light works and the dash lights all work. The original chrome is really nice on the bike the wheels are really nice and shiny, the chrome bars and exhaust is really shiny. There is some rust through on the tip of the exhaust pipe unfortunately. The original Nitto tires do have some cracking in them. I just can't replace them because it's too hard to find original tires on bikes. The tread is worn but if you just do light crushing with it, you'll probably be fine. The engine runs very well and starts up right away. The carburetor is very nice and has been rebuilt and adjusted. The engine and tranny work well and shifts through all of the gears nicely. This year of bike has the dual rear sprockets on the back. The controls on the bike are all original and they are in excellent original condition. The original cables are really nice on the bike, the grips and levers are original and are impossible to find if you needed to replace, and they are nice on the bike. Overall this is a very nice example of an original 1965 Honda Ct200. You do not find these this original and this clean like this bike. Do not miss out on this opportunity to buy a very rare early Honda Trail 90. This bike is very nice, not perfect, but a really nice bike that you would be proud to own and ride around at your home, or out camping. I have the original Nevada title that will go with the bike, it's the original title from the original owner when the bike was purchased new in 1965 in Nevada. It's signed off on the back and is ready to transfer to the new owner. I can recommend an awesome motorcycle shipper, their name is J&M Transport and they are solely a motorcycle shipper. They are rated 4th on Uship in overall ratings, they have shipped numerous bikes for me and people that I have referred them to and they have always done spectacular work. And their pricing is very fair. They are the only people I use and trust to ship my bikes. If you would like to get a shipping quote from them, please contact me for their contact information and I will forward you their phone number and Jim can give you a quote. I can store the bike for up to a month so that shipping arrangements are made and the bike gets picked up. I only accept cash, money order or cashiers check as forms of payment. Please contact me with any and all questions. You can email me through eBay or call me at 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
