If your looking at this auction, you realize how rare these bikes are! This 2000 CR500 is Ready to Ride or just to be added to your collection! This bike runs and shifts like a "raped ape"!!! Adult owned always garaged, a nice tidy low hour machine! Not for the beginner. FMF pipe, newer tyres, stock top end, tons of compression. No flatspots, frame is perfect... The rear shock is a little soft? They don't make these monsters anymore! Grab one while you can, these collector bikes will only appreciate in value! This is a good solid bike, it will put a smile on your face and make your heart skip a beat! Disclaimer: I've described the bike to the best of my ability, if something slips by it was not intentional, I don't check spokes or wheel bearings/swingarm bearings on the bikes I sell. I describe the obvious things I see, so understand that you are purchasing a 16+ year bike and some items may need attention above and beyond what I have noted. Also, I'm not responsible for any leaking fork seals... The bike has to be tied down during shipping. Wed, 28 Jul 2010Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Max Biaggi Announces Retirement
Wed, 07 Nov 2012Max Biaggi will retire as a champion, announcing his decision to step away from the sport after winning his second World Superbike Championship by just half a point. The man known as the Corsair and the Roman Emperor announced his retirement this morning at a press conference at the Vallelunga circuit near Rome, Italy. Biaggi ends his 21-year international racing career with six world championships, with four consecutive 250cc Grand Prix titles from 1994 to 1997 to go along with his 2010 and 2012 WSBK titles.
Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
