Honda CBX description

It's finally time to sell my 1982 CBX. I purchased the bike new and picked it out from a group of crated bikes at the dealership. Over the next several decades I traveled extensively and couldn't ride very often. I am only selling it now due to health problems. Whenever the bike was to sit for extended periods the carbs were drained. The brake fluid was changed every two or three years and the engine was started several times per year to keep everything lubed with the oil being changed twice per year. I made a number of small improvement to the bike and all of the original parts, as seen in the accompanying photo including the hand grips are available to the new owner. These improvements include: Corbin seat with removable passenger back rest, Rifle windshield, Stebel horns, steel braided front brake lines, Progressive fork springs, Telefix fork brace and a Pingle fuel valve. A new battery was installed in August. Other than the tip of the front fender and two very small spots on the base of the saddle bags the paint and chrome are in excellent condition. Please note there is one small compression dent in the tank and the paint is perfect. There is also a small amount of paint damage under the gas cap related to a fuel spill but it can't be seen with the cap in place. There is no rust on the exhaust system or the exhaust collectors. While shipping is the sole responsibility of the purchaser I will assist wherever possible.

Stefan Bradl Rides Honda RC213V on Streets of San Francisco – Video

Wed, 25 Jul 2012

LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl took to the streets of San Francisco on his MotoGP race bike for a video promoting the upcoming U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca. Bradl, the runaway favorite to take home MotoGP rookie of the year honors this season, took his Honda RC213V out for a spin on San Franciscio’s Treasure Island before going for a ride down the city’s iconic Lombard St., no doubt using the steep, winding road as practice for Laguna Seca’s Corkscrew.

Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?

Thu, 05 May 2011

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.

Best Helmet Designs from the 2009 MotoGP Season

Unlike with most athletes, motorcycle racers’ faces remain hidden during competition. Except for promotional events or pre- and post-race interviews, the faces of our racing heroes are shielded under protective helmets with tinted visors. You don’t see the same human emotion in their faces like you can when soccer players score a goal or baseball players hit a home run.
