Honda CBX description

You are bidding on a 1982 Honda CBX.

If you are reading this advertisement, then you already know the iconic nature of the Honda CBX. With it's powerful inline six cylinder engine, it has become one of the hottest collector motorcycles in the market.

I bought this bike a year ago. I rode it once - for 50 miles, and it was a blast. The mileage is original.

I own a private restoration facility and have recently sold the building. Therefore I need to pare down my collection of cars and motorcycles. Hence the CBX must go (also selling a Kawasaki Police Bike).

We restored the CBX cosmetically. Which means new paint and decals. Each panel was taken off the bike and then taken down to bare metal (gas tank) or the paint was removed from the fiberglass panels. Two coats of paint were applied - then two coats of clear. The pearlescent white paint is not easy to apply - so great care was taken to make it look better than factory.

We then chrome plated the valve cover - (not original, I know - but makes it look so much better). Also, we took the carbs off - and sent them out to a CBX specialist to rebuild. So, they are basically new.

We added a new windshield (clear).

We added other new NOS parts also, such as turn signal lenses and the units on the handlebars.

The brakes are great - the tires are virtually new.

She looks amazing - free of any defects in the paint - no nicks or imperfections. The bike has 5 miles since restoration.

Please see the pics.

Due to the age of the bike, it is sold as is - no warranty implied or expressed. Inspections are encouraged. Emails are answered promptly.

Now for the legalese:

Honda to Introduce Larger “New Concept” Models for North America

Honda announced it is following up on its NC700 series with a new large-sized model, with sales expected to begin in North America in 2013. Honda first announced plans for its NC700 models in at the 2010 EICMA show with a concept it called the “New Mid“, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise Honda would follow it up with a “New Large” series. The new models were announced in a presentation by Honda Chief Executive Officer Takanobu Ito alongside plans to develop a new MotoGP-derived sportbike.

Maverick Vinales Quits Blusens Avintia Moto3 Team

Fri, 19 Oct 2012

Maverick Vinales seems to be living up to his name, announcing he is leaving the Blusens Avintia team despite sitting second in the Moto3 World Championship with three rounds to go. Vinales traveled with the team to Sepang for the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix but did not take part in Free Practice and later announced the split. You may remember Vinales from last season when he raced in the former 125cc Grand Prix World Championship for the Paris Hilton-sponsored Blusens-BQR team.
