Honda Re-Signs Marc Marquez Through 2016 MotoGP Season

Marc Marquez has signed a contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation that will see the reigning MotoGP champion stay with the manufacturer through the end of the 2016 season. “We are very satisfied to have reached an agreement to keep Marc in the team for a further two seasons,” says Shuhei Nakamoto, executive vice president of HRC. “Of course, as Honda, we wanted to keep Marc in our family, and he also wanted to stay with us so … it was natural to renew the contract even if it is very early in the season!

2012 Honda NSF250R Race Bike Coming to America

American Honda announced it is bringing the new 2012 HRC NSF250R Moto3-spec race bike to the U.S. Though it was developed primarily for competition in the Moto3 World Championship, the 249cc Honda NSF250R will be legal for some racing classes in the U.S. including in USGPRU and WERA.

The Postie Bike Challenge started in 2002 as a one-off event in Brisbane, Australia to prove that small bikes can travel long distances over both asphalt, dirt, sand, or stony surfaces has turned into a 10-day charity event.  The entry fee is $4,000 but almost everything is taken care of, including: Late model Honda CT110 Postie bike (registered to you!) All breakfasts, lunches and dinners All fuel for the trip One way air ticket back to Brisbane Support truck to carry equipment, clothing bag and mechanics Final celebration dinner and hotel accommodation That’s right, you can keep the Honda CT110 Postie bike (designed for commercial and agricultural, also used by Australia Post) but the concept is to give the bike to charity in your name after the event is over, its up to you but more than 90% of the participants do give the bike back. The 2009 Postie Bike Challenge will take place from October 3rd to the 13th and will go from Brisbane to Melbourne, the destination changes every year.  The route taken will be about 2,000 miles (the direct route is about 1,000 miles).  If your interested, get your entry form and deposit in ASAP, last years event was sold out.
