Honda CB description

1982 Honda CB900 Custom

 Only 12,785 miles

You are bidding on my 1982 Honda CB900C motorcycle.  It only has 12,785 miles and is completely ready to ride.  This mileage will increase as I continue to ride it around town.  It also has many of additional features that have been added that are also included.  It has always been garage kept and been maintained entirely with synthetic fluids. It handles fantastically and like a bike far smaller than what it is.  The fact that you are looking at this is evidence that you know all about the performance of this classic motorbike.  Here are some of the original factory and accessory equipped features:

*5-speed transmission with Hi-Low range

*Hondaline OEM passenger backrest and pad

*Hondaline OEM saddlebags and tour pack

*Hondaline OEM saddlebag & tour pack mounting rail

*Original OEM 4-2-4 exhaust

*Hondaline OEM engine guard (not photographed)

*New 2013 battery

*New 2013 tires

Obviously the highlight of this bike is all of the original and aftermarket OEM equipment that are included.

SADDLE BAGS:

I’ve been around motorbikes my whole life and have never seen these saddlebags and trunk.  The neat thing is that they are all interchangeable meaning that each bag can be mounted on any of the locations.  Left side, right side or top case.  It doesn’t matter where.  There is not a left and a right bag.  All three bags are the same.  All original labels and straps are still in the bags.  Each lockable case is easily removed by the same key.

DUEL RANGE TRANSMISSION:

In 1982, Honda equipped this bike with an additional transmission range which allows the bike to cruise highway speeds +/- 900 rpm lower than one having only one range.  What I do is keep it in low range while doing local errands or running the mountain twists, and shift it into high when on the supper slab.  Having it, has become a great option.

ORIGINAL EXHAUST:

Finding a bike from this era with the OEM exhaust still attached to the bike and in great shape is indeed rare.  Most owners in â€?82 exchanged these pipes with 4-into-1 Kerker and the like and just discarded the original ones.  OEM pipes have become harder to locate that aren’t rusty and won’t cost you two month’s house payment.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER:

The photo of the instrument cluster is to display how clean the faceplates are.  They aren’t faded at all.  The mileage is higher than what is on the photo and is accurate at 12,785.

Please be clear.  Both my wife and I love this bike and loved to ride it.  It was a pleasure to ride it and we did.  This is a used bike.  It is not in new, showroom perfect condition.  We did not buy it to show it.  We bought it to ride it and to vacation with our family across this GREAT country.  Although obviously not new, it really is in great condition and is a nice looking bike.  You will be proud to own this bike.

Please contact me with any questions.  I will help out with shipping the best I can. Including some reasonable, personal transportation of the bike.

This bike is for sale locally and I reserve my right to end this listing early if it sells locally.
