Honda CB description

Bought this as a package of stuff from an old guy cleaning out his garage. He said he bought it 12 years ago and couldn't get it running and he got it from his son-in-law before that and had been sitting a long time when he got it. I merely cleaned the carbs and put some gas in it and fired it up on the first hit. Tires might be the originals. They are old. Clear Ohio title.

This bike has low miles, starts very quickly, runs very smoothly, and shift through the gears easily. That has been the extent of my testing. I'm not a mechanic and my wife wants it gone. However, plan on this needing a going over by a qualified person before being 100% road ready. It seems to be all there. The gas tank and the seat need to be fastened down. Not sure if I have the bolts. Does not come with a battery.

There are scratches in the paint and fading, dents, and missing right side panel emblem. There is surface rust and pitting on the frame and most of the chrome. Doesn't show up well in the pics. The chrome still shines through as it appears. Small 2" seam starting to pull on seat. Seat overall pretty good shape. Does not leak oil or fluids. Front seals may need some attention. They're a little soft but are air shocks so may need some air. This is a historic, vintage machine and thus sold as is. No warranties. No guarantees. No shipping. Must be picked up at my residence or buyer must fully arrange shipping at buyer expense. This is a no reserve auction. Good luck!

Rea and Haslam Re-Sign with Pata Honda for 2014 WSBK Championship

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

The Pata Honda racing team announced it has re-signed Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam to compete in the 2014 World Superbike Championship. It’s been a disappointing season for both rider, thanks in large part to injuries. Rea is currently on the shelf with a fractured femur sustained in a crash at Nurburgring while Haslam also missed several rounds earlier in the season because of a broken leg.
