Honda CB description

Just in time for summer!!

MAKE US AN OFFER!!  YOU NEVER KNOW!!

This listing is for a really clean, rare & mostly all original early production 1981 Honda CB900F Super Sport.

This vintage beauty runs fantastic, shifts smoothly and is in mostly all original condition.  We acquired this bike from a fellow collector that had it on a shelf in his warehouse for the last roughly 10 years.   Original paint.  Really nice original exhaust.  The tank is really clean and nice inside.  The aftermarket seat cover is an older period correct cover and is in really nice shape.  We've enjoyed this vintage classic for about a year now and it is time to send it to a new home.

Service work in the last 3 months includes an oil change with Honda GN4 Pro Oil, new oil filter, new air filter and a new battery.  The carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt with all new jets, all new air valves and a new fuel pump.  Runs perfectly and starts right up!!  All the electrics work perfectly.  Both front calipers & the rear caliper have been completely rebuilt with new seals.  The front master cylinder has been rebuilt with new parts.  New brake pads all the way around.  Stops straight and fast!!  We Installed a Battery Tender lead.

2013 Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recalled in Australia

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Honda has recalled its 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R models in Australia because of a defect that could cause an oil leak. At the moment, no recall has been announced for the U.S., though there is a good possibility one will be announced shortly, as all 500-series models are manufactured in the same Honda factory in Thailand. There is a similar recall for the Japanese market for the CB400F, CB400X and CBR400R, which are mechanically identical to Honda’s 500-series models, but with a smaller engine to meet the country’s tiered licensing requirements.  According to the Australian and Japanese recall notices, the rocker arm shaft sealing bolt may come loose, causing oil to leak from the engine.

Greg Tracy to Ride Amarok P1A Electric Sportbike for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Canada’s Amarok Racing has secured quite a coup in signing six-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner Greg Tracy to ride its P1A electric superbike for the 2013 edition of the event. Tracy has six class victories in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, winning in 1996, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. His victories have come riding motorcycles from several manufacturers: Honda, Yamaha, BMW and, more recently, Ducati.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
