Honda CB description

Selling my 1975 Honda CB 750 Cafe Racer
Full nut and bolt restoration and one off custom
odo: 28k miles on odometer, but only 500+mi on engine after rebuild break in period

Asking $4250 - Price obtained from comparable sales on eBay and previously sold listings

Will entertain any "reasonable" offer, but not really looking for trades.

I have a clear IN title in hand.

Upgrades: There is almost literally nothing on this bike that isn't new or restored. But I'll list the important details... Powder coated frame, swing arm and rims (w/ new spokes), newly finished black on black paint, Rebuilt motor & carbs (jetted) w/ velocity staks, mac 4/2 exhaust chopped w/ baffles, custom cafe seat, chopped front and rear fenders, new wiring harness, Dyna 3ohm coils w/ electronic ignition, rick's modern rectifier/regulator, iridium NGK spark plugs, new NGK wires and caps, maintenance free battery, progressive fork springs, upgraded dual caliper front brakes w/ drilled rotors and stainless braided brake lines, CBR600RR master cylinder, new chain and sprockets (stock gearing)

And much more that I am probably forgetting at the moment.

I still have a lot of the stock components, if interested in switching something back to OEM just let me know.

Tires both front and back have brand new tubes and tons of miles left on the tread.

All maintenance done on schedule. Ran through rebuild break in schedule and changed oil. Always ran with Premium fuel. Every oil change w/ Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Brake fluid has been drained and replaced.

Bike has been absolutely babied. Always garaged. Always covered in winter and battery always on a trickle charger.

No mechanical issues to deal with at all.

Cosmetically it is nearly flawless. Some slight imperfections in the paint, but only noticeable upon up close inspection.

Any questions please just email.

All serious inquiries will be answered.

Buyer must arrange shipping, transportation, or pickup. I will make any reasonable effort to work with any shippers or arrangement for pickup.

New kit: Davida Jet helmet

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The Davida Jet helmet is a quality piece of kit, made here in dear Old Blighty. I got my hands on one just a few days before I went on the CB1100 launch last week and I thought it suited Honda's big retro perfectly. The lining and finish is superb, with high gloss paint and a padded/quilted leather interior.

The Honda Collection Halls in Motegi

Fri, 14 Oct 2011

I thought you may have to be from a certain era to enjoy the Honda Collection Halls in Motegi but I was wrong. This immaculate museum has hundreds of race and road bikes on display starting with the first ever (wooden) motorcycle built right up to the amazing machines Pedrosa and co are campaigning this year. Being part of the Honda owned Motegi Twin Ring circuit complex, I was expecting it to be a Honda only zone so was amazed to see lots of iconic bikes from other manufacturers also on display.

Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept

Tue, 03 Apr 2012

San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).
