This is a frame up Restoration, I bought this bike along with another Honda 500F. The frame and side covers have been repainted the tank is original paint just restored. The engine has 41 mikes on it since a valve job. Carbs have been rebuilt, tires are new rims have been trued and balanced, new battery, gauges have been repainted, new brakes rear, front master cylinder and caliper rebuilt. this bike has not been registered since 1980 but I have bill of sale from previous owner. Fuel tank has been cleaned and is in good shape. all lights, turn signals,beeper, stop and tail lights all working. New plugs. bike starts on first kick or push of the starter button. All cases have been cleaned and polished. All engine gaskets were replaced, no oil leaks at all. runs great and is quick. Mon, 14 May 2012BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.
