Harley-Davidson VRSC description

2007 Harley-Davidson VRSCAW V-Rod, 2007 VRSCAW V-Rod - LONG AND LOW. SLEEK AND FAST. CLEAN AND MEAN. The one that started it all really breaks the mold this year with a tornado-spinning, fat and wide new 240 mm rear tire. The V-Rod. Long and low. Sleek and fast. Clean and mean. The drag strip-inspired design marries serious straight-line ability with the Revolution engine's massive power to set a blistering pace of acceleration. Housing a high-revving 9,000-rpm redline, shifting up through the gears lets you ride a 115-horse stampede. Pray your fingers boa constrict. Liquid-cooling manages the high engine output. A perfectly proportionate dual exhaust system slings huge volumes of combusted fuel and air at everything turning microscopic in your mirrors. After-market upgrades and additions loaded into this model include: Vance & Hines exhaust custom 2-up seat passenger backrest 3-Day "no Questions Asked" Money Back Guarantee on all Certified used motorcycles purchased! Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

Harley Declares Women Riders Month

Tue, 10 Feb 2009

Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
