For Sale – 06 Harley Davidson V-Rod (Nite Rod Model) (VRSCD)

Nice custom paint with a matching custom painted helmet and long list of modifications (see list). This bike is in great shape, never dumped. This bike has hi mileage (well ridden, never abused) but the  Porsche designed engine on this bike runs just as strong and smooth as it did when it was new, awesome. The recorded mileage is higher than the actual mileage about 15% due to the sprocket change but that made it much better for street riding. The D model has center controls that are much better for cornering and daily riding. The Harley stuff has all been replaced, again (see list). This bike has had a lot of money put into it and been well cared for, it shows, and runs great as well. Buyer that meets the reserve gets all accessories etc. Buyer pays all shipping costs I will help in any way I can to prepare it for shipping etc. Local pick up is always free and may be able to deliver if you are local. New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin

When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.

Harley-Davidson Offers “Steel Toe Tour” of York Factory

Harley-Davidson is adding a new factory tour program offering visitors a personal look at the company’s York production facility. For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.

Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program

Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.
