Silver and Chrome Only 1565 Miles (Always stored in a Garage) Launched in 2001, the Harley Davidson V-Rod marked a radical departure for the American firm, in terms of styling, design and performance. It is based around a 86kW (115bhp) Porsche engine derived from the firm's VR1000 race bike. The engine -Harley's first production liquid-cooled V-twin - is thoroughly modern, with twin camshafts and four valves for each cylinder, fed by a powerful fuel-injection system. But it is the chassis which most impresses - a new, innovative take on the cruiser concept which at once looks modern and classic. The sinuous steel-tube frame is formed by pressurized water, while the body panels are made of brushed aluminum, and a ducted shroud guides cooling air to the hidden radiator. Aerosmith and Toby Keith to Join Kid Rock as Headliners of Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Celebrations
Thu, 11 Apr 2013Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith and country artist Toby Keith were introduced as headline performers along with the previously announced Kid Rock for Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebration. Each headline concert will be held at the Marcus Amphitheater at the south side of Henry Maier Festival Park (A.K.A. the Summerfest Grounds) in Harley-Davidson‘s hometown Milwaukee.
Jury Dismisses Suit Against Harley-Davidson Over ABS Indicator
Tue, 20 Dec 2011A Sacramento Superior Court jury has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Harley-Davidson involving a 2009 accident that left one of the plaintiffs with severe brain injuries. Judy Wilson was injured in an April 11, 2009, crash after her husband, Jack, locked the rear wheel of his non-ABS equipped 2008 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. The plaintiffs contended they believed their was equipped with ABS because the instrument panel had an ABS indicator icon and from the salesperson’s sales pitch.
Motus Hires Former H-D Test Rider + Video
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Bruce Edmiston was a Harley-Davidson test rider for over 20 years. In that time, he estimates he’s racked up well north of 500,000 miles on a wide variety of motorcycles from many different parts of the world. He retired from Harley-Davidson in 2009, but the prospect of helping Motus develop an all-American sport-tourer was just the opportunity he needed to come out of retirement and utilize his test riding expertise.
