Harley-Davidson Touring description

Purchased bike in fall of 2010 in North Carolina from a guy that specializes in rebuilding wrecked Harley cruisers. This particular Harley had the following parts replaced- front fairing, hard bags, crash bar, and the seat had to be sewn ( I cant tell were this was done). I've put about 10,000 miles on it in the last 3 years with no issues. I am selling the bike due to new home construction in the spring.

I have done a little personalization to the bike = Powder Coating some of the chrome in black pearl to match the paint and make cleaning easier.

Powder Coated parts are as follows.

- front turn signals
- ring around headlight
- plate under headlight
- flip up gas cap
- shift linkage shaft
- both heel and toe shifter
- base of the front floor boards
- rear foot rests
- hard bag supports
- horn cover
- transmission cover ( behind rear jug)
- starter cover
- valve covers
- push rod covers
- air cleaner cover

Bike also has

- rear back rest
- rear rack
- kuryakyn tour bag ( wraps around back rest, descent size)
- screamin eagle mufflers ( nice sound not to loud, not to quiet)
- kuryakyn hard bag inserts
- bike lift ( foot jack style) works great for cleaning and maintenance
- new women's Harley flat black helmet ( wife got it as gift and it didn't fit) think its a meduim.
- have shorty shield that came with it- put a taller 8 or 9 inch air dyne shield on for long trips and never took it off.

Bike is an R-Title,   I have it priced accordingly.

I just put new rear brakes on it and changed engine oil for its winter stay in the garage. If it doesn't sell this fall, it will be posted 2nd and final time in the spring. I don't NEED to sell it but a little xtra cash would be nice for house construction... bla bla bla  the usual reason for all fun things being sold on ebay.

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Bred in America, built in India the new Revolution X platform is meant to be Harley’s new price point model. The two motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a narrow, agile chassis with a low seat height (26.3 inches), new suspension, a wide handlebar and minimalist styling. Not all markets will get both engine sizes, but the U.S. will. The 500 costs $6700 and the 750 is $7500.

Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico

Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.

The Milwaukee-based company has unveiled its new V-twin

Fri, 03 Jan 2020

The Milwaukee-based company has unveiled its new V-twin, a 131-inch 'crate engine' designed for post-2017 Touring models. Harley-Davidson has not yet had large engines in terms of capacity and power. This behemoth, which looks like a work of modern technoart, is called the Screamin' Eagle Milwaukee-Eight 131.
