    I am posting my father's Harley for sale.  He has two bikes and he is getting old and doesn't ride anymore.  He has ridden the bike once a summer just to keep fresh gas in it and make sure everything is good.  It has been serviced regularly by a Harley Davidson dealer.  The rear caliper has been recently rebuilt.  The whole top end was done about 8 years ago and there has been less than 1000 miles put on the bike since. Tires are good and the battery held a charge all winter and it fired up in a second this week. The motorcycle is in really good shape and he has taken care of it well.  The chrome is peeling on the front fender trim, however a good replacement piece comes with the bike, there is also some scratches on the saddle bag chrome trim.  Both of these things are clearly pictured.  We encourage you to come check the bike out in person.  It is located only 7 miles off of I80 or I81 in North Eastern PA. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. $500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal within 24hrs and full payment via cash or cashier's check within 2weeks end of auction.  We can store the bike for about a month if you need extra time to get it.  Message me with any further questions.     Original 1965 FLH, clean serial numbers and matching belly numbers.  The vin is 65FLH13474.  Bike has original paint, white is prominent, black on bottom of tank.  This bike has all the goodies that a 65 Electra Glide is supposed to have.  Both electric and kick start.  The original paint has many scratches.  Small dimple on the front fender and one on the gas tank.  The gas tanks are like new on the inside.  At 20 feet, you cannot see the scratches.  The bike has 12,000 original miles, and runs and handles like new.  Just put on new pair of Coker Tires.  I am looking at my 76th birthday and it is time to part with these heavy machines.  Yes, you can have both seats, but the bike sells with the black national windshield.  Call with any questions, 724-853-8697 or 724-396-7297.  Oh, yes, the bike has a little rust here and there, but if you live in the US or Canada, you can ride it home.

    2006 Harley Davidson FLTRI Road Glide restored to almost new condition by Vicious Cycles Motorcycle Co. (VCM) of Quakertown, PA.  Please google them to see more pictures of this great bike. VCM specializes in customizing Harley-Davidson motorcycles.    The bike was purchased through an auction in Nevada.  The bike has spent most of its life in the west where there is hardly any rain, sleet or snow.  The auction listed the bike with the Actual Cash Value (ACV) price of $29,550 - a startling number.  The listing stated that the bike runs and drives.  The pictures showed one saddlebag missing and a slight damage on the front fairing (I can provide these pictures if requested).  Otherwise the bike looked to be in good shape.   I called the auction folks in Nevada to learn more about the condition of the bike.  They reiterated what was already listed.  Additionally, they stated that the bike runs strong and seem to have expensive options.  I concluded that likely the cost to repair and check expensive options was higher then the ACV of the bike; therefore, it was auctioned with the listing of the ACV.   After I received the bike, I retained VCM to restore the bike to its original condition.  They installed OEM parts where needed and serviced it to match up with the manufacturer specifications.  I test rode the bike.  The ride is smooooth; as if riding on air (literally).

Harley-Davidson Recalls Over 100,000 Touring Models, 1400 Street Models

Harley-Davidson has recalled more than 105,000 Touring models from the 2014 model year, and approximately 1400 Street models from the 2015 model year. The Touring models have been recalled due to a possible failure of a component in the clutch master cylinder. This possible failure could cause a reduction in pressure available to keep the clutch disengaged, according to the NHTSA.

Harley-Davidson Goes Low for 2015

Harley-Davidson revealed the new 2015 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low and Ultra Limited Low, offering what it calls the the lowest seat height of any premium touring motorcycle on the market. Designed with riders 5 feet 7 inches and shorter in mind, the two Low models have a seat height of 25.6 inches from the ground, or 1.7 inches lower than the regular models. The lower seat isn’t the only change to accommodate shorter riders.

It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
