Harley-Davidson Touring description

Showroom Condition: Low miles! Never dropped, no scratches, chips, dings, or dents. Beautiful factory custom paint! This is a limited production Harley, built at the factory, but in a separate area. It's hand built by the Custom Vehicle Operations unit, thus CVO. They build each unit using only Screaming Eagle performance parts, thus the term, "Screaming Eagle Road King." It's an elite group of techs that are hand picked based on their high skill level, and attention to detail. We've owned several CVO's over the years and there is a difference. They are unique, they are special. This SE Road King has been adult ridden, garage kept in a climate controlled environment and battery tendered. Ridden very little due to other Harley's in the garage. It was race tuned on a dyno using a HD Screaming Eagle race-tuner after the RC engineering 4"mufflers were installed, along with a SE "Agitator" style chrome air cleaner (matches wheels) for increased high-air flow. The race tune was performed with max torque and ridability in mind. The dyno tech hit a home-run with 114 ft-lb., and excellent ridability. It sounds awesome, with a very nice tone. Unit serviced twice with all fluids changed using HD Syn3 at 1000 miles, and 2500 miles. The harsh coil-over OEM rear shocks have been replaced with chrome air shocks for a much nicer stable ride, and one nozzle controls both shocks. It's also been lowered 1" and rides great. The OEM detachable rear seat and matching detachable backrest have been removed for solo riding and are included with purchase. This is one of the best Screaming Eagles the CVO unit has ever designed and built. Extremely comfortable to ride, and tons of SE extras. The windshield is an amazing piece of wind tunnel engineering, providing incredible protection and no buffeting at all speeds. This Harley gets all the attention in a sea of Harleys. It's an awesome bike, a beautiful bike, it's extremely unique, and just very cool bike!

Michael Jackson in Speed Demon [video]

Fri, 26 Jun 2009

Michael Jackson was not known for riding motorcycles, he did own a 2001 Harley-Davidson that was on the action block earlier this year that was listed for $6,000 – $8,000, I never heard if it was sold or not.  We all have our different opinions about the mega pop star but we can all agree that he was larger than life and truly a boy in a mans body, case in point, take a look at the “Speed Demon” video that features Jackson on a bicycle, motorcycle and scooter, sort of… The “Speed Demon” video is available after the jump. Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.

Help a Veteran and You Could Win Two Motorcycles

It always feels good to lend somebody a helping hand, but it feels even better when somebody hands you the keys to a couple of new motorcycles for your effort. Healing Heroes Network has developed a campaign to add a little more excitement to donating to charities, with its Harleys for Heroes sweepstakes. Healing Heroes Network is a 501(c)3 charity organization based out of Palm Harbor, Fla.
