Harley-Davidson Touring description

This bike is in great condition. It comes with all the comforts of the Street Glide that include AM-FM Stereo, CD Player, NOAA Weather radio, Auxiliary plug for your ipod, and Cruise control.

The additional features include:

Supertrapp 2 into 1 custom exhaust, Power Commander, K&N Big breather air filter kit, 138 decibel air horn, ABS, 4 point docking system for the included two up rally-runner seat, passenger backrest and luggage rack, front top and bottom fender trim, chromed inner faring inserts, "bat brow" outer faring kit, chrome upper faring windshield trim, highway bar and fully adjustable pegs, rider and passenger matched floor boards, Danny Gray seat, smooth chrome rims with chrome spokes, rear bag extensions for that custom look, chrome rear fender contoured license plate frame, finger notched clutch and brake levers...and much more.

The 2007 through 2013 primaries had a notorious problem with Compensator wear and H-D was replacing the factory Compensator with the Screamin Eagle Compensator which was a temporary fix. In July of this year Harley completely redesigned the compensator to permanently fix the problem. I had the new Compensator kit installed by Pigg Pen Cycles. This is about a $2000,00 fix that you will never have to worry about. While the new compensator kit was being installed I also added a brand new battery and brand new power commander unit. I then rode the bike from Georgetown, TX to Washington, D.C. and back with absolutely no problems. I changed the fluids last week, gave her a complete wash and wax, and made sure she is ready to roll for your enjoyment. I also replaced the tires just prior to the trip with Metzler tires and as you can see from the pictures they are in excellent condition with lots of tread left. You won't need to worry about tires for quite some time. Other than things you want to do to this bike to make her your own and routine maintanence this sweet thing should be worry free. The bike also comes with three windshields that you can chose to ride with depending on weather, trip distance, etc. I am asking a reasonable price for all that is included with this bike. TO make this an even better deal, the extended warranty through 2016 is transferrable.

With the Supertrapp custom exhaust system, K&N Big Breather, and power commander, this girl gets up and goes when you want her to. She is an absolute pleasure to rid and I guarantee you'll get some looks on this ride.

A (Not So) Silent Night from Harley-Davidson – Video

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

It’s probably not conducive for sleeping in heavenly peace, but Harley-Davidson has released a Christmas-themed ad with the song “Silent Night” performed by the revving V-Twin engine of a Softail Breakout. Titled “The Sound of the Festive Season”, the ad spot was produced by U.K agency Big Communications for Harley-Davidson Europe Middle East and Africa. According to AdWeek, the ad was conceived, sold and produced in just 72 hours.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.

Paul James isn’t just another Harley-Davidson employee, he’s one helluva fast rider. For 2014, James will be suiting up for his 20th consecutive season of road racing as he pilots his James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing Harley-Davidson XR1200 for the AMA Pro Racing Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series season opener at Daytona International Speedway. And he brings with him a new sponsor and a continued relationship with the VETMotorsports program.
