2008 HARLEY-DAVIDSON ROAD GLIDE FLTR ANNIVERSARY EDITION

NEW LOWER PRICE AND LOWER RESERVE!

SPECIAL EDITION #163/1500  VERY LOW NUMBERED SPECIAL EDITION LOADED WITH EXTRAS!!

I got this bike at Roeder Harley-Davidson.  They are no longer in business, but there still may be data available.  I had all scheduled maintenance there until they went out of business.  I did have some maintenance done with their successor as well.  This bike is ready to go for fall and winter with heated handgrips and lowers!

I am the original owner and added over $3000 in extras when I purchased this bike.

  • Very Low Miles:  8950
  • Stock Engine and Pipes.
  • Color: Anniversary Copper Pear/Vivid Black
  • Well Maintained and stored in heated garage during winter.

Brembo Brakes with ABS, Tires have plenty of tread. 6-Gallon Tank.  Electronic Throttle Control eliminates messy cables.  Cruise Control.  6-speed transmission. Powder coated engine with chrome treatment.  Shorter rear antenna.  Black 9-spoke cast aluminum wheels.  2-Tone 2-up one piece seat.

I am very meticulous with the maintenance and cleanliness of my bike and have had all the regular servicing at my dealership.  I did my best to prevent damage or scratches but sometimes it happens.  There is a very small rough spot on the outer edge of the right side of the fairing - see picture.  There is one mystery scratch on the bottom rear of the right saddlebag.  I couldn't get a good picture of the scratch due to the lighting.  It is about 4 inches long and although it is thru to the primer, it is not very noticeable due to the thinness of the scratch.

This is an excellent bike to ride all year round, but I enjoy the fall and early winter, so I added the lowers and heated handgrips.  When you shield the wind and keep your hands warm, your whole body stays warmer....it's great!  I hate to sell this bike, but I may be going to a 3 wheeler next spring.

Most items below were added when purchased:

  • Heated Flame Handgrips
  • Flame Shifter Peg
  • Flame Brake Pedal
  • Flame Footboards
  • Chrome Gauge Bezels
  • Brushed Radio Faceplate with Skull
  • Chrome Rear Saddle Bag Guards
  • Chrome Engine Guards
  • Chrome Layback License Plate Holder
  • Color Matched Lower Fairings
  • Chrome Passenger Footboard Covers
  • Chrome Windshield Trim
  • King Tour Pack Backrest
  • Chopped Tour Pack Locks
  • Detachable Tour Pack Mounts
  • Ultra King Tour Pack with Fitted Liner
  • Tour Pack Lid Accent - Chrome and Leatherette
  • Low Profile Shock Absorbers

Any questions?  Send me an E-Bay Message and I will answer quickly.  If you want me to call you, just leave your phone number.  Thanks for looking!

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...

7 Motorcycles for Those Who Can’t Stay Balanced

I remember my first bicycle. A blue frame with white handlebars and a long white banana seat for comfort. I was riding a Smurf.

Wesll Quad Prototype

Mon, 09 Feb 2009

A number of manufacturers have tinkered with various three-wheeled motorcycle applications over the years. Companies like Piaggio, Can-Am, Brudeli and even Harley-Davidson have produced unique trikes with ranging levels of success. The Wesll Corporation is attempting to do one better, literally, as it develops a four-wheeled mechanism that could be applied to many different kinds of bikes.
