HD SE rods and wheels, heads ported and polished with oversize valves, heavier valve springs, 57mm throttle body, bigger injectors, gear drive oil pump and cam, Thunder Header exhaust 2-into-1 (right side and dummy left), HD 5-speed, quick connect windshield and back rest. Many chrome extras. Custom pearl white paint. New Metzeler ME888 tires. 13,820 miles on bike. (Motor was built at 10,000 miles.) Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.

Earlier this year, parent company Polaris unveiled the all-new Thunderstroke 111 engine as a sneak peak to the 2014 Chief which is set to make its official debut at Sturgis at the beginning of August. To prepare for this momentous occasion, Indian produced this commercial, which takes a nice, healthy jab at the iconic Motor Company.
Harley-Davidson Confirms 500cc Model on the Way, Says Electric Harleys Not That Far-Fetched
Mon, 02 Sep 2013It’s only been a couple of weeks since Harley-Davidson broke new ground by unveiling new “Twin-Cooled” liquid precision-cooling engine technology its new Project Rushmore suite of customer-driven refinements, but the Motor Company appears to have even more ambitious plans in the works. Speaking at Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebrations, Chief Operating Officer Matthew Levatich confirmed the company is producing a new 500cc model and opened the possibility of an electric Harley-Davidson somewhere down the line. We’ve previously written about Harley-Davidson’s plans to introduce a new 500cc V-Twin model for the Indian market.
