1998 Harley Davidson Road King Classic 95th anniversary edition. Very good condition, not perfect but nice. Bike has a couple chips in the paint on the gas tank, scuff on left saddlebag lid, normal wear and tear (see pictures). Runs and rides great, newer tires. Number 2540 of 3500 anniversary edition Road Kings made. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have, inspection is welcome and encouraged. Sold as is, as pictured, however, some pictures show a rear luggage rack, that has been removed and is not included with the bike. I will include the original windshield that came with the bike (not shown in pictures). If you want to speak in person, my cell number is 413 204-6179. Watch As Motorcyclist Gets Chased By Elk – Video

Apparently, elks aren’t too keen on motorcyclists, as the video below demonstrates. This couple, aboard what sounds like a Harley-Davidson (that potato-potato exhaust note is unmistakeable), were riding along in Missoula, Montana when this elk decided he wanted to take the road for himself. As traffic slowed and eventually passed, the elk took a growing interest in the couple on the motorcycle, approaching them.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011

In anticipation of Harley-Davidson announcing its third-quarter performance in 2011 Forbes.com expects Harley will reveal its third straight quarter of sales growth. The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
