1949 FL Panhead Basket Case Harley Davidson Motorcycle Pan Head Motor Frame

No Title All parts on the floor are included in this auction as well as the wishbone frame and everything hanging on it. Seat, Muffler, Shift Gate, rear stand, and exhaust pipes are the only reproduction parts. Wishbone frame is very nice with all tabs and mounts in place aside from the horn mount blocks. 49 only Handlebars in nice shape. Early 49-50 Triple Trees.Original 1949 only spot welded Front fender. Original 1949 Rear Fender. Both have some work done but look good. Original Delco horn has a small crack in the mount. Engine cases sat in the dirt and the bellies need to be replaced but otherwise they are good cases with clean numbers. Early 48-49 Cylinders. 1950 Cast date Heads both need a little work but are very serviceable. Flywheels have good tapers. I will palatalize all items at no cost. I would estimate freight cost at around $300 to anywhere in the continental US. I will get a clear Maine Registration through my title service for $300 at the buyers request and cost. Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Team Unveils Restyled V-Rod Drag Bikes

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2013 Sales Results

Harley-Davidson reported a 15.5% increase in motorcycle sales for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2013 compared to the same quarter last year. The news caps off an important quarter for Harley-Davidson that included the company’s 110th anniversary celebrations and the launch of its 2014 lineup including the new Twin-Cooled engines and Project Rushmore enhancements.
