Up for sale is my 1999 Harley Davidson Sportster. It has been completely redone from the frame up!! Frame, Wheels, Light, Bars, Grips, Fork Legs, Triple Trees, all disassembled and powdercoated in satin black. The rear section including seat, Rear fender and struts, and wheel were all done to accomadate the large 23" 40 spoke wheel that is identical to the front. Avon 130s wrap the wheels in the front and rear. All bodywork was then stripped painted and hand striped to give it a vintage tracker feel. Built this thing to show what I can do to a stock sportster platform. Finished it and it needs to be seen rolling thru the streets! This bike has the good looks of a custom and the reliability of a stock Sportster. Only mods to engine are a custom made exhaust and altered air cleaner. This thing is a rider! Wed, 20 Feb 2013Harley-Davidson and Best Western have announced a three-year extension to their partnership which will now expand beyond North America. The two companies have been working together since 2006, providing benefits to customers of both brands. Under the new agreement, Best Western becomes the official lodging partner of Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations as well as the preferred lodging partner of Harley-Davidson’s rentals and tours division.
Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit
Thu, 09 Feb 2012The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“ exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
