Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2011 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight

I purchased the bike in 2012 and it has been garage kept.  I do not have the time to ride her like she deserves and it depresses me to see this machine just sitting covered in the garage.  The 48 is in pristine condition.  I have never even had it out in the rain.

I have listed this bike 2 times already with a winning bidder twice and both times they changed their mind saying they didn't realize they would have to have the bike shipped.

I live in Southwest Virginia (zipcode 24637) and would much prefer that you pick up the bike in person.  I will work with you to ship if necessary at your expense.  The bike will not leave my possession until payment is made in full and is clear.  Cash is preferred.  If you must use a check then personal check or cashier's check is fine however, the bike will not leave until payment has cleared which can take 11 days.  I work for a bank and I will call the issuing bank to verify funds before I deposit the check.  I do have the title in hand.

No Warranty is implied

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.

2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout Unveiled at Daytona Bike Week

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

In a rare move, Harley-Davidson has unveiled a base version of its Breakout months after first launching the exclusive Custom Vehicle Operations version. Presented at the 2013 Daytona Bike Week, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout offers a similar low and muscular profile as the CVO version but at prices starting at $17,899 compared to the premium model’s $26,999 price point. Tom Roderick reviewed the 2013 Harley-Davidson CVO Breakout last August, saying it “continues the tradition of exclusivity, performance and style customers have come to expect from Harley-Davidson’s Custom Vehicle Operations.” But take away the premium CVO features and what do you have?

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.
