1999 Sportster XL1200 Trike! LOWER RESERVE! Handicapped equipped (I have multiple sclerosis)! Always kept in heated garage. DNA chain drive rear, 10 inch over front end, 21 in. front wheel, 15" twisted spoke wire Kelsey Hayes rear wheels. Disc brakes front and rear. All tires less than 5k miles. Upper and lower chain tensioners, steering damper. Custom shotgun exhaust, heat wrapped with chrome shields. Custom handmade genuine ostrich skin two up seat and backrest with light. Custom lights front and rear and extended mirrors and shorty bars. Bike runs like a scalded cat, handles well and draws thumbs up wherever you go, loud and proud. Pingle shifter is currently set up to shift when clutch is used, but can be hooked up for interrupted ignition (no clutch necessary). Custom mount for walking canes on front of bike, see the pictures. Canes included if you want/need. Trickle charger and hook up on bike. Could be set up for RH jockey shift, materials supplied if you want/need (some fab skills needed to complete). Some minor scratches on rear fenders from using my wheelchair to push it in and out of garage. Over 11.5k invested, but I am no longer able to get on it, so it's offered at no reserve. I reserve the right to end auction early. The trike is for sale locally. Also have 1980 80 cu.in. shovel head engine and trans for sale, along with 1980 FLT parts.

Mon, 16 Feb 2009

The best place to see the latest and greatest motorcycle gadgets and goodies before they hit the shelves of your local dealer is at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo. Unfortunately, you have to be an exhibitor, dealer or member of the media to attend. Luckily, we fall into the latter category.

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.

Cool Cycles Ice Cream

Mon, 20 Apr 2009

John Gibson had a vision 15 years ago to sell ice cream from a motorcycle sidecar, inspired while running as he listening to motivational guru, Tony Robins. After years of experimenting with different bikes and setups, including using the Russian made Ural (he once owned a Ural dealership), Gibson, finally settled on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster. The Cool Cycles Ice Cream Company is open for business, the headquarters are located in Tacoma, WA where they will start selling franchises within a 100 mile radius, the Los Angeles area will be next and Las Vegas to follow.
