Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Listed here is my 1996 HD XL1200 Sportster Sport which runs fine. This bike has been my ride for the last 6 years but medical bills are piling up and she must go. In those six years there has been very little trouble, two years ago I had to replace the headlight and brake pads, last year I had to replace the battery and this year I put on two new tires. The new Dunlop's have about 450 miles on them since new.

This bike is equipped with a Mikuni HSR 42 carb and a K & N filter under that chrome cover. The pipes are off a newer model and are mated up to Screaming Eagle II slip-ons with fluted end caps. (I have the stock pipes and mufflers if you are interested) Added were newer model mirrors that I put on the bottom of the bars for a sportier look, they can be put on top if you preferred them that way.

When new this model sported triple drilled disk brakes, adjustable front and rear shocks and that beautiful polished Motor and all are intact and work as they should. She has a two up seat with a small backrest/luggage rack and chrome highway pegs for cruising. I have enjoyed romping around on this bike very much and she rumbles like a Harley should.

What you will want to know is there are a couple nicks in the tank paint and a paint rub on the front fender. (See photos above).

Good luck bidding and remember those doctors and hospitals are counting on you! :)

Fundraising Harley Prints By 8-year-old MDA Ambassador On Sale

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

MDA Ambassador Reagan Imhoff wanted the artwork she created with Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz to “raise a lot of money for MDA so we can have more scientists to make medicines.” The original drawing of a purple Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout motorcycle brought in $3500 on August 31 at the MDA auction during the 110th Anniversary Celebration. The pair hopes to raise even more with sales of the limited edition, signed prints, available through www.HintzStudios.com. “I’m happy our artwork raised some money, and hope we sell all of the prints!” said Reagan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a painful neuromuscular disease.

2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.
