Harley-Davidson Sportster description

I'm Selling my 1989 Harley Davidson Sportster. This bike is my own personal ongoing custom build for more than 3 years and I'm now offering it up for sale. The bike is titled as an 883. and is in extremely excellent condition and extremely clean. It's a rigid stock frame with a Frisco Sporty Tank. I put a shortened 39mm front end with lowbrow cowbells, polished and shaved lowers with caliber tabs still entact. I eliminated the front brake, and just recently added 12 inch Biltwell apes. Rear fender is a chrome Honda CB fender. The rear tail light is a Harley tach l.e.d. . Rear tire is a Solid tubeless rear 15 inch wheel with new Shinko old school tire and a 21 inch newer Avon Speedmaster on the front. It has a Rich Phillips tooled solo seat. A custom made 50 cal. shift lever with hand shift rod for a downshift option. The O-ring, chain, oil tank, and drag pipes with custom heat shields were added. Also brass exhaust tips, CV carb rebuild with a custom brass air cleaner, brass mirror, and brass forward pegs were also put on. The bike also has Polished rocker covers, primary, and cam cover. I made the shifting and braking to be done with the heel. Their are alot of one off hand made parts that add to this bikes personality. I made this bike with a lot of attention to detail and very comfortable to ride!!! Its my everyday rider and I also take it to every bike-fest or event I can and is great on the highway. The bike gets a lot of looks and is an attention grabber everywhere I take it and I can go on forever talking about the custom parts and add-ons. Stuck for a gift? Solution No2: Harley-Davidson merchandise

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

Next year marks a strange anniversary for Harley-Davidson; 100 years of the firm's merchandising operation. Yes, just nine years after getting in on the motorcycle game H-D realised that the real cash was to be found in selling accessories rather than just bikes. And they're masters of the art.

HD Recommends Things to Pack on a Long Motorcycle Trip

Thu, 23 Jul 2009

Harley-Davidson was kind enough to post on Twitter a PDF of a list of things to bring with you on a long motorcycle trip. And what a list! It’s hard to believe you could squeeze all this stuff onto yourself and your bike.

2010 Sportster Forty-Eight [video]

Mon, 25 Jan 2010

Watching the promo videos that Harley-Davidson puts out does get me pumped.  Harley does however really seem to reinforce the stereotype of a typical Harley rider, I’m not sure if I am cool enough but the new Sportster Forty-Eight looks great!  Harley could use some positive feedback after they announced their Q4 results… Get the Flash Player to see this player. The 2010 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight retails for $10,499 for the black version, $10,789 for the silver or orange. Click here for more info.
