Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This may be the nicest 1973 Sportster available anywhere. It runs very well. The bike was in climate controlled storage until roughly 3 years ago. At that time I acquired the bike. It was serviced and now runs as it should. The bike still is wearing the original tires. I ride it occasionally to keep the battery charged  The bike is all original with the exception of the aftermarket pipes. The bike may have had factory signals. It is equipped with the switches but no signals. I personally added the Harley Davidson accessory sissy bar. Every other part is exactly as it left the factory. I personally love the looks of the 73 it has great lines, Paint and the great factory blacked out motor. This bike is not perfect. The paint has a few scratches in the fenders. I have never detailed the bike. I just wipe it off after riding. This is a kick start only XLCH model. The miles are original. Ther were around 3800 when I acquired the bike. It is a blast to ride and it gets lots of looks and compliments. It even won a award at a local vintage bike gathering. With the bike is included a folder containing all of the factory paper work. Original title, sales receipt, owners manual, catalog, etc. Not a lot of sportsters around like this. It is not restored and not customized as most sportsters are. Please no bidders with no feed back.

Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.

Afghan Heroes tribute Harley MT350

Tue, 29 Nov 2011

The above Harley-Davidson MT350 has been created in honor of the UK soldiers killed over the last ten years in the Afghanistan conflict. This particular MT350 was previously used by British forces in Afghanistan and will now act as a memorial for the charity Afghan Heroes. The tribute was created by Paul Ferguson and Martin Turner, and now features the name of each fallen serviceman or woman, accompanied by their age and the date they were killed in action.
