Harley-Davidson Softail description

Custom 2002 Harley Davidson Softail Duece, about the only things left stock on this bike are the forks, tank and frame. I have all the receipts from the work done and parts bought and it totals up above my asking price of $12,000. Some of the bigger add-ons are a Performance Machines 240 rear tire kit done the right way with a spaced out primary and cover, custom wider rear fender, custom swingarms, custom front and rear wheels and brake rotors/rear pulley all match! Every little detail was taken into account while building this bike, tons and tons of chrome Harley Davidson parts! The engine is a fuel injected 88" but is very stout! Pulls the same bike with a 96" stage 2 kit! The bike has been on a dyno and had tuning done to it at Hitman Motorsports in Forest Lake MN. This bike is mint and well taken care of, oil changed within last couple hundred miles with all Amsoil synthetics. Bike is very comfortable to ride.  Bike is also for sale locally. Would prefer local pick up but would help with shipping/meeting after it is paid for.

Some of highlights of the bike:

*Metzler 880 tires
*Vance and Hines Big Shot pipes with hot tips, baffles come with but not in right now
*Performance Machines brake calipers front and rear

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
