Harley-Davidson Softail description

I bought this bike as the 3rd owner.

The first owner added 99% of the decorative items and I think he did an excellent job.

The second owner had the engine work done at Fink's Harley in Zanesville Ohio, upgrading the heads, cams & computer programing while taking the displacement to 103 cubic inches.

All 3 of us garaged the bike and apparently, none of us rode very much, putting on an average of 2,500 miles a year.

When I bought the bike in the summer of 2014 I did practically nothing to it. Why would I? It was already beautiful and I didn't see any point in messing with success.

I did take off the passenger seat, put on the bib & luggage rack, installed longer stem mirrors, wider foot pegs & the two tool-bags.

The biggest things I did were to upgrade to the modern electric speedometer and replace both tires.

Each spring I brought it to Centennial HD in Pataskala OH to have the oil changed, the bike inspected and any minor thing taken care of.

And that's the whole story.
