Harley-Davidson Softail description

2008 Harley Davidson Softail Custom FXSTC: Always washed, waxed, and kept in garage. Only 11,700 miles, however I'm riding the bike until it sells, so mileage will most likely be higher. All fluids recently changed. Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Oil in engine, transmission, and primary. Tires have plenty of miles left in them and handle great. Upgraded Harley Davidson passenger foot-pegs, shift peg, and brake pedal. Custom driver foot-pegs with kick-out heel supports (very comfortable). Harley Davidson removable Super Sport windshield (no scratches) with removable Laminar Wind Deflector. Demon's Custom Cycle billet aluminum hand grips (very comfortable). Bike is in excellent condition and rides/runs perfectly. NADA Value Average Retail = $13,714.00. That doesn't account for the $250.00+ in foot pegs or the billet aluminum hand grips. Pricing at $12,250.00. Well below NADA value. Beautiful Bike.... Get it for late summer riding and fall rallies!! Call with questions or to schedule an appointment to see the bike. Thank you. 715-340-7108

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
