Harley-Davidson Softail description

The bike up for auction is my mint condition 2007 Softail Deluxe.  If you like attention you will love this semi-custom bike.  Everywhere I take this bike I receive compliments on its appearance and clean condition.  My bike has never been rode in the rain.  This bike is extremely clean and the paint is in pristine condition.  The chrome is immaculate and provides an extreme luster.  I am going to list the major accessories that have been bought and installed.  Accessories total over $7000.00 and accessories were professionally installed.  I spared no expense with these accessories.

Accessories

·         Chrome headlamp nacelle

·         Chrome light covers (headlamps and signals)

·         Chrome 14” Carlini Gangster Ape Hangers 1.5” diameter

·         Chrome Drag Speciatlies 3” risers

·         Chrome front end (forks)

·         Chrome control covers

·         Chrome Shift linkage

·         Chrome Harley shift pedals

·         Chrome Harley brake pedal

·         Chrome clutch and brake levers

·         Chrome rear foot pegs

·         Chrome Samson Slasher exhaust

·         Chrome axle nut covers

·         Chrome rotor bolts

·         Chrome smooth wheel package

·         Chrome nut and bolt covers (prevents corrosion and promotes professional appearance)

·         Chrome regulator cover

·         Chrome oil filter

·         Chrome swing arm appliques

·         Stainless braided brake lines

·         Stainless braided clutch cable

·         Stainless angled tag bracket

·         Harley fully adjustable rear lowering kit

·         Power commander fuel management system

·         Harley stage 1 air intake

Honestly there are too many chrome items to list.  If you look at the photos carefully you will see many items that do not come on these bikes from the factory.  I tried to take pictures from every angle to give each bidder a good view of everything.  Bike performs and handles extremely well and the six speed transmission has awesome interstate cruising ability.  Ape hangers are very comfortable.  I have original cables if you decide to change them out.  I also have the original exhausts and two rear seats.  The stock rear seat and an oversized rear seat for more passenger comfort on longer rides.  Bike has never been abused and is extremely well maintained.  It is stored in a heated garage with sheets covering the bike to prevent dust from settling on the surfaces.  The only thing I know wrong with this bike is the bottom pipe has a scuff on it due to it dragging one time in a sharp curve.  You will barely notice even when I show it to you.  All questions and inquiries are welcomed.  If you do not have a feedback score your bid will be denied unless you contact me first.  If you have negative feedbacks you will be denied as well.  Only serious buyers will be considered.  Thank you and good luck!

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

Harley-Davidson Consolidates Businesses in Spain, Portugal and Italy

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

In response to the continuing economic struggles in southern Europe, Harley-Davidson announced it will combine its operations in Spain, Portugal and Italy into a single business unit to be called SPI Motor Company. Harley-Davidson says the new company, which officially begins operating immediately, will be better positioned to respond to the challenges of the market. The new company will be led by Regional Managing Director of Operations Yves-Olivier Allamagny, formerly the director of Harley-Davidson Italy.
