Harley-Davidson Softail description

Up for sale is my 2004 HD Softail Deuce. This is the FXSTDI model, which is Fuel Injected. It is in Excellent cond.I am the 2nd owner. It has an aftermarket seat, which has a small flaw that was repaired by the dealer. It's not real noticeable but its there.  It also has the tall, HD backrest. a set of Screaming Eagle Pipes, and a small set of footboards for my wife. It has under 10,000 miles, but I'm riding it now and then, so it could be up a little. There are no noticeable scratches, and no dents on this Bike. It's never been down. (since I've owned it). Doesn't appear that it was when the first owner had it either. It has an alarm, which I never used, Very good tires, and a 1yr old battery.  It is Smokey Gold and Black, and if you look closely, you can see where the Dealer installed a set of clear plastic guards on the front fender, where the seat meets the tank, and around the gas  cap to prevent scratches. There is no corrosion on this Bike, I've only ridden on  Nice days .It's a little dusty in the pics. , but shines like new. It is only up for sale because I hardly ride anymore, and I'm getting arthritis in my hands, which makes it difficult to run the controls. I've been riding for almost 50 years, and I'm VERY particular about my Vehicles. Please ask any questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability. Sold as is, no warranty expressed, or implied. Buyer is to make any and all transportation arrangements necessary, and pay all monies associated with such transportation costs. I am retired, and can be here for the loading, etc. I will include the cover I use for this also.  I reserve the right to end this sale at any time. This Bike is for sale locally, and on other websites. I will require a 500.00 Deposit immediately upon purchase, or accepted offer, with the remainder paid in cash upon pickup. Motorcycle does not leave the premises until I have the CASH in my hand. If you have 5 feedbacks or less with any Negatives, you must contact me before placing any offer, or your offer will be deleted by me. I have an excellent feedback rating and plan to keep it that way. my feedback speaks for itself, both as a seller and buyer.  Unfortunately there are others not so fussy. Thank's for looking, and Please ask any questions you may have, Thank you, Bill.   PLEASE, don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer. I would like to see this go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

Fundraising Harley Prints By 8-year-old MDA Ambassador On Sale

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

MDA Ambassador Reagan Imhoff wanted the artwork she created with Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz to “raise a lot of money for MDA so we can have more scientists to make medicines.” The original drawing of a purple Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout motorcycle brought in $3500 on August 31 at the MDA auction during the 110th Anniversary Celebration. The pair hopes to raise even more with sales of the limited edition, signed prints, available through www.HintzStudios.com. “I’m happy our artwork raised some money, and hope we sell all of the prints!” said Reagan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a painful neuromuscular disease.
