2003 Harley-Davidson Softail Deuce FXSTD, 2003 was Harley-Davidson's 100th Anniversary. The vast majority of the Harleys made that year were either Black/Silver, Gunmetal (blue), or Vivid Black. A few were produced in Luxury Rich Red Pearl and even fewer in White Pearl. This 2003 FXSTD which is now offered for sale by Latus Harley Davidson/Triumph is one of the latter. The exhaust system on this bike was upgraded to a very attractive looking and much better sounding custom unit. The air filter is now a high flow device. My favorite upgrade is the installation of a set of chrome drag bars. Chromed controls, chromed hand levers custom hand grips and custom mirrors now reside on these bars. The foot controls, which are extended, are also upgraded units. The saddle is stock but the passenger now has the benefit of a padded mini back rest. An oil temperature gauge completes the functional additions. Our Service Department just completed a full 15,000 mile service on this 2003 Deuce so it is now ready for its next owner. Pope Francis To Auction Harley-Davidson For Charity
Mon, 21 Oct 2013During Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations earlier this year, Pope Francis was given not one, but two Harley-Davidsons, a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic and Dyna Super Glide Custom. Not one for gaudy excess (or a motorcycle ride for that matter), Pope Francis has decided to put both up for auction. Specifically, the Pope has donated the bikes to the Caritas charity near Rome.
2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
