This Springer is a great bike, runs and rides excellent!! 1998 Heritage Springer FLSTS VIEW A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE AT https://youtu.be/CXM6ddDXDj0 A Harley Davidson tribute bike build for only 3 years (97-98-99) to celebrate the 1948. 1998 is also the 95th year anniversary of Harley Davidson! 1999 was the last year of the EVO motor...considered one of the top ten motorcycle motors ever built. Look it up, no joke. History of my bike... Harley-Davidson of Stuart Inc. delivered this Springer on 10/25/1997. I am the second real owner, "the other second owner" bought the bike from the original owner and planned on selling it from the beginning of his ownership. This is an anniversary bike even though this is not the correct color scheme or has the numbered console sticker. Cyclechex report also shows this bike as an anniversary bike. I have it insured as an anniversary bike too. That's what came up when running the vin number also. The original owner changed out the tins. OVER $5000 IN UPGRADES I bought the bike running and ride-able, just needing at the time regular maintenance stuff, plus front-end work, had a very slight wobble. I have rebuilt this bike to be a great rider not only for riding but to improve it's performance. I also changed out and/or have added several cosmetic changes. I changed out the mirrors to Harley Davidson ole school teardrops to match the teardrop covers on the front wheels. I also added other stuff so there is truly not another like it. She has few nicks/chips/scratches here and there, but, shows great! She gets compliments all the time! YOU CAN PICK-UP AND RIDE HER HOME! THE BIKE IS OFFERED FOR SALE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES! New inner primary kit. New primary cover. New Transmission side cover. New starter. New clutch shell and sprocket. New brakes, New front tire, less than 500 miles on it. New hoses/cables. New mini apes(9.5" Buffalo) New grips. New tombstone brake light. I have documentation. $3300 I had the top of motor rebuilt by Sledz in Bunnel, Fl. New Ultima carburetor. New push rod set. New pistons & rings. New Mid-Range Cam. New Ignition & coil pack. I have documentation. $3200 RECENT WORK DONE IN THE PAST 60 DAYS. New Bassani Power Curve True Dual Crossover Header Pipes with fishtail slip-on's. New rear tire installed, less than 200 miles on it. New Harley Davidson chrome master cylinder. New chrome mirrors. New chrome levers, New chrome covers. New chrome switches, etc... Oil change. Blues Brothers Too Old for Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration?
Fri, 10 May 2013Comedian Dan Aykroyd says he offered to bring his Blues Brothers act to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary celebrations but was turned down because H-D executives said the act was too old for the company’s target demographics. Aykroyd, playing the role of Elwood J. Blues with the late John Belushi playing “Joliet” Jake Blues, posted a statement on his official Facebook page suggesting Elwood is trading in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a Can-Am Spyder.
