As part of Project RushMore, this new Harley-Davidson touring motorcycle has been built from the ground up with new features that have never been seen on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle before. The batwing fairing has been totally redesigned to maintain its iconic shape, yet reduce head buffeting. There's a new high output Twin Cam 103 engine mated to a 6 speed cruise drive transmission that puts more low end torque and more passing, hill climbing and passenger carrying power at your disposal when you turn the throttle.

Riding a heavy, slow Harley-Davidson XR750, the American daredevil had serious reservations about the jump, admitting the take-off ramp was too short, therefore limiting the bike's speed. But even though the plucky American knew his chances of pulling off the stunt were slim, he was reluctant to disappoint the 80,000-strong Wembley crowd.

Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
