2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic FLHTC, This 2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic has only 6,859 miles on it. It has stock running gear but does have a few upgrades to make it a better "coast to coast" Touring Harley. Cruise Control is an option for the 2011 FLHTC model and this bike has it. My favorite option is A.B.S. This has been legislated to be mandatory standard equipment in Europe in 2015 or 2016 and is an important safety feature on any Touring motorcycle. A fob operated Security System has also been installed by the factory. Another "almost" necessity in today's society. Smooth Rim wire wheels are another factory option that was checked off before it hit the showroom floor. As I said, this is a nicely equipped Electra Glide Classic. Add on a chromed luggage rack, Harley-Davidson hand grips, shifter pegs and brake pedal and the bike is complete. Take a test ride on this Harley. Harley-Davidson Opens Latin America Office in Miami
Thu, 13 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson opened a new regional headquarters in Miami, Fla., to house the company’s Latin America operations. The new Harley-Davidson Latin America headquarters supports the Motor Company’s subsidiaries in Brazil, Mexico and other countries in Central and South America. Harley-Davidson projects international sales to exceed 40% of the company’s revenue by 2014 with the Latin America office a prime area of growth.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
