Blues Brothers Too Old for Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration?
Fri, 10 May 2013Comedian Dan Aykroyd says he offered to bring his Blues Brothers act to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary celebrations but was turned down because H-D executives said the act was too old for the company’s target demographics. Aykroyd, playing the role of Elwood J. Blues with the late John Belushi playing “Joliet” Jake Blues, posted a statement on his official Facebook page suggesting Elwood is trading in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a Can-Am Spyder.
Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’

King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode. See his comments about the production here. Harley-Davidson Closing Australian Cast Wheel Subsidiary
Thu, 08 Dec 2011Harley-Davidson is closing its cast wheel and hub producing subsidiary New Castalloy, deciding to outsource production to third-party suppliers. Based in Adelaide, Australia, New Castalloy produces about 1,450 wheels and 500 wheel hubs per day for Harley-Davidson. That work will be transferred to outside suppliers by the middle of 2013.
