Actor and Avid Rider, Lorenzo Lamas, to Lead Charity Ride for Abused Children
Thu, 08 Mar 2012Lorenzo Lamas, the heartthrob who played ex-cop Reno Raines, a chopper/cruiser-riding beefcake sporting a flowing mane (that most women wished they had), out for justice in the ’90s TV drama, Renegade, is a real life motorcyclist, and will lead a charity ride on June 3 as the grand marshal for Child Abuse Awareness. Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif. Fri, 24 Oct 2008I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).
