Harley-Davidson Other description

2007 Harley-Davidson FXDB Dyna Street Bob, FXDB Dyna Street Bob - THIS IS PURE, DISTILLED BADASS AT ITS BARE-KNUCKLE BEST. At first glance this looks like an old-schooler with nothing to lose. A blast back to when folks looking to boost miles per hour stripped off or "bobbed" the shiny parts to make the motorcycle lighter. But the Street Bob takes it a step further. This is pure, distilled badass at its bare-knuckle best. A lip-snarled attitude wrapped around a new black powder-coated Twin Cam 96 engine with a six-speed Cruise Drive transmission. Chrome, laced wheels. Factory ape-hangers. 4.7 gallons of Fat Bob tank to get you out of Dodge. A solo seat. Because relationships can be complicated. The Street Bob. Two wheels, a motor, a seat and handlebar. Just the way the purists like it.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
