2006 Harley-Davidson Low Rider FXDL, Ask anyone in the know to define a Harley and you ll undoubtedly hear the words long and low. The Low Rider has always pushed that envelope. This year, it gets 49mm forks, new stylized low-profile suspension and cast wheels. The low-slung custom seat is less than 26' high, so it s easy to put boots on pavement. The ride feels good thanks to pullback handlebars, mid-mount controls and highway pegs. New handlebar-mounted indicator lights, new tank graphic and tank-mounted speedo/tach. The Low Rider also gets the new 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission mated to the powerful Twin Cam 88 engine. That s plenty of go with your long and low.

It makes you wonder what Mattel, the company behind the plastic duo, has next in the pipeline. Maybe they'll have a model of Birmingham airport, where Ken can kick the sh*t out of rival bike gang members?
2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Lineup Updated with Project Rushmore Enhancements
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson announced a number of updates to its touring models, a cumulative result of a product development effort the company dubs Project Rushmore. The enhancements cover several areas, addressing performance, comfort, style and infotainment needs, and will be implemented across eight 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring models: the Road King, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Limited, the Tri-Glide Ultra Classic trike and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited. “Project RUSHMORE has been touched by thousands of people, most of them being our customers and our employees,” says Scott Habegger, Harley-Davidson Director of Motorcycle Planning.
Perry King To Be Grand Marshal At Second Annual The Greatest Escape Motorcycle Ride Benefit

The Greatest Escape is scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2014 and will begin with a beautiful ride from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, 4141 Lincoln Blvd., Marina Del Rey, CA along the Pacific Coast Highway with stunning views of the ocean to the rustic and historic Paramount Ranch, Cornell Road, Agoura Hills, CA. Join Perry King for what will be a wonderful day ending with a concert and BBQ lunch on the ranch. The Greatest Escape, 2014 will include a BBQ lunch by J Wolf BBQ and a concert by The Walking Phoenixes, a Johnny Cash tribute band. The Greatest Escape, 2014, will benefit victims of Mesothelioma and the Pacific Meso Center, in Los Angeles, CA.
