Harley-Davidson Other description

2005 Harley-Davidson FLSTF - Softail Fat Boy, For A Good Time And A Great Ride!COME ON IN AND CHECK IT OUT!!!! It's no secret some of the finest custom bikes in the land are built right here at the Motor Company. H-D Styling goes to work with the Custom Vehicle Operations group, taking the world's best bikes to the extreme. What results are limited-production machines with style and power that are anything but limited. Take a look at the latest project. You can't miss it. We stroked the already ample middle of the Fat Boy up to 103 perfectly counterbalanced cubic inches. But why stop there? This ride got plenty of flash to go with the dash. Chrome by the truckload. Notice the custom seat. This Fat Boy has buns of steel. And as a first from H-D's Custom Paint Shop, the rest of the metalwork gets paint with metal grind accents. It's a look you have to see to believe. Pure custom style, straight from the crate.

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.

Backflips on a Harley? [video]

Mon, 07 Dec 2009

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.
