Harley-Davidson Other description

2003 Harley-Davidson FXSTD/FXSTDI Softail Deuce, 100th Anniversary Softail Deuce! - 100th Anniversary FXSTD/FXSTDI Softail Deuce Beneath its gleaming coat of Luxury Blue paint, the Softail Deuce is just what it was born to be. A long, lean, bold dose of prime Milwaukee iron. In other words, awesome. Most will find it hard to believe it sprung direct from the factory crate. Just take a look at the stretched fuel tank and chrome console. Pure custom. The front forks are sculpted and chromed. The rear fender is unique, with a straight-cut dragster profile. You also get shotgun dual exhaust and an 18” solid rear wheel with a fat 160mm tire. A Twin Cam 88B powertrain. And enough chrome for the heartiest of chrome addicts. It all comes together with a look and feel like nothing else around. Just what a factory custom motorcycle should be. * MSRP may not reflect vehicle shown. See Additional Features for specific color/option pricing.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.

Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Party Is Just A Week Away

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Harley-Davidson has been preparing for its 110th anniversary party for the past year, celebrating in 11 countries on six different continents. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all.  Milwaukee residents have always been cordial hosts for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who make the journey to the City of Festivals from around the world. One Anniversary tradition is the welcoming home of thousands of riders by Milwaukee area residents who stand on the city’s highway overpasses with homemade welcome signs as riders arrive in Milwaukee.
