Harley-Davidson Other description

2001 Harley-Davidson FLHR/FLHRI Road King, 2001 Harley Davidson Road King - This Road King is fuel injected, has amazing paint and chrome, is super clean, has a quick release screen and is in great overall condition. Ask most people to conjure up the best image of motorcycling from their youth, and this is it. The big, strong lines. The broad windshield. The massive chrome headlamp and nacelle. The Road King brings it all back. But we’re not in business to merely wax nostalgic. Under all the brilliant chrome and lustrous paint lies our latest touring performance. At the center is eighty-eight cubic inches of Twin Cam 88, isolation mounted in our touring frame. The combination is ready for any kind of road trip you have in mind. And at day’s end, the windshield and passenger pillion detach. You can have a custom look that beats anything on the strip, minutes after blowing into town.

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Michael Jackson in Speed Demon [video]

Fri, 26 Jun 2009

Michael Jackson was not known for riding motorcycles, he did own a 2001 Harley-Davidson that was on the action block earlier this year that was listed for $6,000 – $8,000, I never heard if it was sold or not.  We all have our different opinions about the mega pop star but we can all agree that he was larger than life and truly a boy in a mans body, case in point, take a look at the “Speed Demon” video that features Jackson on a bicycle, motorcycle and scooter, sort of… The “Speed Demon” video is available after the jump.
