Harley-Davidson Other description

2000 Harley-Davidson XLH Sportster 883, A great all around scoot - Sometimes the best way to see how good a thing can get is to get down to its purest form. Take a look at the Sportster 883. The raw-boned connects like a left hook. Solo seat. Low handlebar. Shorty dual exhaust. The fuel tank is a work of art, true to the lean Sportster tradition and holding 3.3 gallons for added range. No one would blame you for just staring. But the real treat is the ride. The light, rigid frame keeps you maneuverable, yet it feels great at speed. Get on the gas and the 883cc Evolution V-Twin pours out its trademark torque. An ear-to-ear grin comes standard.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
