I have 1979 Harley Davidson Flh 80 cu,shovelhead 4 speed trans, S&S SUPER B carb with a vintage 2 into 1 fishtail exhaust,It was owned by the same guy since 1990 he took it to Austria & rode it there for a cpl yrs, (still has import stickers from then) so it has a lot of old juicy patina,nice gold leaf painted tanks done in the early 90's they still look great,vintage HD leather bags,the bike starts runs & stops it could use some tlc to make it 100% it has a cool ol school look to it and the shovelhead engines never die, This is a electric start motor only (the starter Bendix sticks & needs to be replaced but starts after a few times ) new interstate battery & starter selonoid ,old oem Harley mags,perfect front nacelle.With a little work this bike will party with you all night long or it would be a great candidate for a cool chopper. ACCEL Stealth Supercoils Now Available For Harley-Davidson Sportsters
Fri, 08 Aug 2014ACCEL today announced the company’s popular motorcycle Stealth SuperCoils will now be available to owners of 2007-2014 Harley-Davidson Sportsters. First introduced in late-2013 for Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam engines, ACCEL’s Stealth SuperCoils provide quicker engine starting and improved throttle response, while hiding all ignition wiring in the head of the self-contained coil pack; eliminating the need for spark plug wires and creating a clean, custom look. In addition to the flat black and natural aluminum finishes, the Sportster Stealth SuperCoils are offered in flat black with polished aluminum edges. Each SuperCoil mounts directly to the spark plug and features a cross-functional cast aluminum cover that also acts as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the cylinder heads.
Harley-Davidson Sells Test Track to Chrysler
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson has sold its 531-acre private test track in Florida to the Chrysler Group for $7 million. The property, located off of Interstate 75 in Naples, Fla., includes six miles of track including a 2.1-mile straightaway and several buildings. The track was originally built for Ford, with construction completed in 1992.
