1978 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead , Progressive shocks and front end , mustange saddle w/ but not on back seat . rider back rest . 8in. up 8in. out mini apes , wheels are chrome with stainless spokes , GMA bracks front and back . super stock s&s heads ,40 + 9.1.1 wiesco pistons , gapless rings , oem cases with new timken barenand s&s rods using harley wheels . S&S OIL pump , cran fireball cam 480 + lift , jim big axle rollers crane removable push rods with solid lifter kite (wanted hydro lifters but ordered wrong cam still worked out great. S&S e shorty carb , trans is four speed with andrews first and third gear 11 mm bdl primary belt drive w/ extra belt , Barnnt wet or dry friction plates with 6 lug clutch basket , There are many more things that are hard to remember rt off the bat but this is one of the nicest shovel heads around there is a place in the paint on front fender and rear but not very easy to see .New Parelli route 66 tires . Speed mounted . I have owned this bike for 27 years and dont want to sale last year I could have sold twice for 11500.00 and backed out but am in a place where I have too many bikes , This was the one I all ways kept . But due to my and my wifes heath Im going to sale it . I didnt mention it but all the oem dresser parts are here with small exception . 46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012

An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.

The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit featuring photographs from custom builder and artist Josh Kurpius. Opening Jan. 17, the Living Lost Photographs by Josh Kurpius art exhibit includes 30 photographs taken during a series of road trips Kurpius took with friends, all riding vintage Harleys.
