1978 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead, 1978shovelhead. New dual compound michellin tires. New 13 1/2 shocks, tranny seals, stator,regulator, sprockets geared 24-43. First gear pulls to 60 mph. This bike runs strong and handles great. New s&s block, bored 80 over with high lift cam, wiesco pistons, accell coil, running points ignition. Extra fat bob tanks, 2 drag pipes, and a box of new base and top end gaskets ($225). This is a good bike that i've put a lot of time and money into. Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2011 Results

As expected, Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $183.6 million over the third quarter ended Sept. 25, 2011, a 106% increase from the $88.8 million reported in the same quarter of 2010. Harley-Davidson reported sales revenue of $1.23 billion, a 13.4% increase from the $1.09 billion reported in the same quarter of 2010.

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

2014 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob Receives Dark Custom Makeover

The Harley-Davidson Fat Bob is returning for 2014 with a new blacked-out look as the latest model to get H-D’s Dark Custom look. The new, darker Fat Bob features a number of blacked-out components including the powertrain and air cleaner cover, rear shock covers, triple clamps, headlight trim, console and battery box cover. The machined aluminum slotted disc wheels have also been received a black powdercoated finish as well as a laser-ingraved Harley-Davidson logo and rim stripe.
