Up for your consideration is a nicely rebuilt 1978 Harley that I went through last winter. The bike was a low mile custom when I picked it up for the rebuild and was still on the standard bore. It is now freshened up with a .010 over bore, new valves, Andrews B cam, an S&S oil pump and Super E carb. I also went through the transmission and everything else on the bike so it runs, rides and stops like it should. 3" Primo belt drive and kick only and to the retro look of this cool old Shovel head, and you just don't see many rolling around anymore. Mon, 13 Jan 2014In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.
