Harley-Davidson Other description

CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741.  Up for sale and your consideration is a 1949 Harley Davidson WL equipped with a running 45 cubic inch Flathead motor and 3-Speed tank shift transmission and foot rocker clutch. This bike runs and rides just fine ! Fires right up on one kick ! I had it out riding it around. Clutch is strong. No smoke out of the motor. Shifts well. This is the true definition of a REAL BARN FIND ! It was recently awakened from a 28 year rest in storage. It took very little to get it running. Plugs and points were cleaned and reset. Gas and oil tank were clean already but were washed out anyway. Fresh engine and tranny oil were added and a new Harley battery and the old bike fired right up ! This 1949 Harley was left as found to retain the barn find status including the 28 years of dust. I have a clean NJ title in hand for this bike showing matching numbers and actual mileage. The title is ready for transfer to the new owner, and will be properly transferred by a notary official. This bike is sold in AS-IS condition with no actual or implied warranty or guarantee. The investment value on this bike speaks for itself. The front fender was cut but a replacement fender is included with the bike. The horn is missing and the front brake needs a new cable. The bike is priced for what it is and will make a nice addition to any collection. This bike is in turn key and ride and enjoy immediately today condition. Please take the time to look at all the photos. If you have any questions as to the integrity or condition of this motorcycle, I welcome the opportunity to show this bike in person by appointment.

Please check my 100% positive feedback and buy with confidence.  Feel free to ask any and all questions on the bike. The most accepted, preferred and encouraged form of payment on this bike is funds in hand and a local pickup. An ebay required $300.00 non refundable deposit will have to be paid by the buyer using the buy it now option or the buyer at the end of the auction to commit to the sale. Shipping will be the financial responsibility of the buyer. I will be happy to recommend previously used shippers. I will also be happy to reasonably assist in the appointment set-up, pick-up and loading of the bike. Harley-Davidson Racers Visiting Troops In Middle East

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

A large number of military personnel are also motorcyclists, with many dreaming of the day they can hop back on their steeds after deployment. Harley-Davidson understands this, and in cooperation with Army Special Forces Association Chapter 64, Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines riders Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines are joining Summit Racing Equipment and Armed Forces Entertainment November 18-22 for Operation Appreciation, an annual visit to American troops stationed overseas. After three years of visiting American military personnel based in Europe, Operation Appreciation will travel to the Middle East to visit troops in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

Harley-Davidson’s New Tattoo Inspired Clothing Line

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

Not everyone can pull off a tattoo, I know I can’t.  Or maybe I’m just too scared to ink up my entire arm for the rest of my life, sporting a faded and stretched color blotch when I’m 75 with my grand kids trying to guess what it once was. Well Harley-Davidson has a solution for me (and maybe you!) Fake it! Harley-Davidson’s new clothing line has been designed by “Tattoo Masters” to give you that authentic tattoo look, but on a shirt.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
